The anti-corrosion magnetic flap level gauge is an instrument used to measure the liquid level, available in stainless steel, stainless steel lined with PTFE, and plastic versions. How to check whether an anti-corrosion magnetic flap level gauge is in good condition: ① Remove the flange of the float chamber, insert the float in the upward direction indicated by the arrow (so that the magnet inside the float is located in its upper half), then reinstall the flange of the float chamber. Make sure to fit the sealing gasket properly and tighten it evenly. ② Seal the lower flange of the magnetic flap level gauge, and slowly pour clean water into the float chamber through the upper connection flange. If the indicator shows the correct liquid level accurately without any fluctuations, then the level gauge is functioning properly. ③ If the indicator does not give a proper reading, use a spare magnet to lift the indicating float so that it couples with the magnetic float inside the float chamber (for float-type indicators), or use a magnet to pull the indicator from below to ensure it displays the correct value. The following factors should be considered when selecting a level gauge: (1) the object being measured, such as the physical and chemical properties of the medium in question, as well as the operating pressure and temperature, installation conditions, and the rate of change in liquid level ; (2) Measurement and control requirements, such as measurement range, measurement (or control) accuracy, display method, on-site indication, remote indication, interface with computers, safety and corrosion resistance, reliability, and ease of installation. Magnetic flap level gauges need to take into account the issue of demagnetization of magnetic materials; demagnetization prevents the gauge from functioning properly, and the measurement results cannot be trusted by operators. Suggested applications for magnetic flap level gauges: locations at high heights where it is difficult to access easily to read the liquid level, such as towers. However, it is not sufficient to use only a magnetic flap level gauge; a glass plate level gauge must also be used, as the magnetic flap level gauge can only serve as a reference. Additionally, for more critical levels (related to process safety and equipment safety), such as the drum level, magnetic flap level gauges are not recommended. When considering magnetic flap level gauges, it is also necessary to take into account the corrosiveness of the medium and its service life, as these gauges involve magnetic floats placed within the process medium; the corrosion resistance and thickness of these floats must also be considered!
