Dear refining experts, no matter what kind of refining plant it is, there must be a distillation tower for oil products. Let’s discuss the problems that arise during distillation in various plants. How was it solved?
In our residue distillation tower, the distillate at the bottom of the tower is hydrogenated residue; diesel is extracted from the middle section, while naphtha is obtained at the top. The issue encountered was that the diesel met the specifications, but the dry point of the naphtha was too high, exceeding 300. Ultimately, by cooling the bottom of the tower and reducing the amount of gas blown in, qualified products were obtained.
