What does the original poster mean? Is it referring to the impurity layer in the middle layer?

Hehehe... At Hongfeng Company, I encountered the problem of a third phase constantly appearing during boric acid extraction. I have been working in the area of production processes and quality control for boron products for decades; I conducted experiments to figure out what that third phase was. I asked them to inform the manager about it, but it didn’t catch the manager’s attention. Ugh, so frustrating!

By adding ultrasonic waves to the bottom of the container and turning on the ultrasound while leaving it at rest, layering can be accelerated, and the intermediate layer can be eliminated. This is the method I commonly use in the laboratory; I’m not sure if it’s practical for production.

The third phase that appears during extraction should actually be referred to as an intermediate phase; it’s not a matter of layering, haha.:)

I heard that they use hydrochloric acid to address the three-phase issue, but this method causes significant corrosion to the equipment; moreover, the acid added has to be neutralized with alkali, which increases costs. When engaging in production, it’s necessary to take production costs into account. The main factors that constitute production costs include the production process, key control points during production, equipment selection, parameter control of equipment, equipment utilization rate, packaging, energy consumption, personnel management, and so on. Otherwise, it’s difficult for the products produced to be economically viable. Of course, the factory costs associated with the products also include sales costs and logistics expenses, which are not part of these production costs.:)
