Do you think learning and growing are like a plant’s roots – there seems to be no significant difference for a while, but then suddenly it’s able to absorb nutrients (by learning a certain skill or knowledge). When enough has been accumulated, a quantitative change can suddenly lead to a qualitative change.
Sometimes you don’t learn new things, but your way of thinking is expanded, and that’s far more beneficial than simply acquiring knowledge
Only by persisting in learning can one understand what it means to achieve a thorough understanding
