On the same day, the coking project of Hancheng Longmen Coal Chemical Company and the energy-saving and emission-reduction project of Shaanxi Chemical Industry also commenced construction. 　　The 1 million-ton dimethyl ether project in Pucheng, Shaanxi is a major project carried out through cooperation between Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group and China Three Gorges Corporation. Using coal as raw material and advanced pressurized gasification technology and equipment for water-coal slurry, this project produces 1.5 million tons of methanol and 1 million tons of dimethyl ether per year. The total investment for the project is 7.9 billion yuan, with a construction period of 36 months. Upon completion of the project, the annual sales revenue will reach 4.4 billion yuan, with an annual profit total of 1.9 billion yuan. The project’s payback period is approximately 6.81 years. 　　In his speech, Li Yongan said that it is necessary to further strengthen cooperation, actively participate in project construction and industrial development in Shaanxi, and through joint efforts by both sides achieve a \"win-win\" outcome to foster common development. 　　In his speech, Wu Dengchang pointed out that as a large-scale central state-owned enterprise, China Three Gorges Corporation possesses strong financial resources, advanced management experience, and a solid brand reputation. It has maintained good ties with Shaanxi over the years, providing significant support for improving the management and technical capabilities of enterprises in Shaanxi. He said that Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group, as a key enterprise in the coal chemical industry of our province, boasts advantages in coal resource development and the application of coal chemical technologies. He hoped that the two sides would strengthen cooperation to further accelerate the transformation of Shaanxi’s resource advantages into industrial advantages, thereby strengthening the province’s energy and chemical industry. 　　On the same day, the coking project of Hancheng Longmen Coal Chemical Company and the energy-saving and emission-reduction project of Shaanxi Chemical Industry also commenced construction. Among them, the coking project of Hancheng Longmen Coal Chemical Company is currently the largest coal chemical project in the country. This is a project jointly constructed by five large enterprises, including Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group and Shaanxi Longmen Iron and Steel Group. With a total investment of around 4.27 billion yuan, the project will build four sets of eight state-of-the-art coke ovens in China, each with a carbonization chamber height of 5.5 meters. Supporting facilities for coal gas recovery, as well as plants for the deep processing of downstream chemical products such as methanol, carbon black, benzene hydrogenation products, olefins, dimethyl ether, acetic acid, and hydrogen peroxide, will also be established, thus creating a complete industrial chain. 　　The Shaanxi Chemical Industry’s energy conservation and emission reduction technology upgrade project relies on the province’s abundant coal resources; by adopting advanced ammonia synthesis technologies, it aims to transform existing outdated processes in order to achieve energy conservation, emission reduction, and environmental improvement. The total investment for the project is 5.6 billion yuan, to build a production line with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, along with 520,000 tons of urea, and 600,000 tons of methanol as a by-product. This project holds significant strategic importance for extending the industrial chain of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group, expanding the development opportunities for enterprises, and promoting local economic growth. 　　Jiang Yue, Deputy Secretary-General of the province, along with relevant provincial departments, as well as key leaders from the Weinan Municipal Party Committee, the municipal government, and Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group, attended the commencement ceremonies for the three projects.
