According to the Football Newspaper, Tianjin Tianhai has officially submitted an application to the Chinese Football Association to withdraw from the Chinese professional league. According to journalist Guo Huan, following the order of replacement teams, Shenzhen Jiazhaoye will return to the Chinese Super League as a replacement team. Although Tianhai and Wantong Holding Group reached a transfer agreement earlier, the two parties have failed to reach an agreement regarding the responsibilities related to club management. With third-tier leagues set to resume one after another, Tegevajara no longer had time to find new sponsors, and the club’s own finances were not sufficient to support the team’s operations; as a result, Tegevajara had no choice but to decide to withdraw. It is reported that once Tianhai decides to withdraw, the Chinese Super League will promote a team from the reserve squad to the first team; the order of promotion will be: Shenzhen Jiazhaoye, Beijing Renhe, Guizhou Hengfeng, and Heilongjiang Huoshan Mingquan. Therefore, Shenzhen Jiazhaoye, which was relegated last season, will return to the Chinese Super League.

On February 8th, 2017, I made the biggest decision of my life by joining the then Quanjian team, where I spent two and a half very happy years. From our first year in the Chinese Super League, we made it to the AFC Champions League; in 2018 we reached the quarterfinals of that competition. In 2019, the team faced many difficulties, and we changed our name to Tianjin Tianhai. I also suffered a serious injury around the middle of the year; for various reasons, I left Tianjin at that time. Even after I leave, I will continue to follow this team with the same attention I gave to Luneng. I’m truly moved that the team managed to avoid relegation, and I extend my sincerest congratulations to my teammates who fought alongside me – they were really great. Most importantly, I will never forget the care and support I’ve received from so many fans. I have been following the news that has been making headlines online this year, and to my surprise, the worst outcome has indeed occurred. It really breaks my heart to think about what will become of those brothers with whom I used to fight side by side. I only hope they can continue pursuing their football dreams.
