Dear experts, I have a question I would like to ask. Our company has a turbo air compressor with a rated current of 49.1A; the operating current usually fluctuates between 48.8A and 49.4A. The manufacturer stated that this is normal, but the operating currents of our other large-scale equipment are generally below their rated values. Could you please advise which approach is more reasonable?
There is a theory that the operating current of equipment increases when the weather gets cold. What is the reason for this?
The current above is the normal current; it is normal for there to be slight fluctuations in this current as the temperature changes. This is caused by the variation in load resulting from the change in the volume of air entering the turbine compressor as a function of temperature. 2. When the weather gets cold, the air temperature drops, the density of the gas increases, and the actual amount of air pumped is higher than the designed amount. This results in increased work done by the compressor, hence an increase in power consumption; this is reflected in terms of an increased current drawn by the compressor during operation.
Contact the relevant personnel and inform them that the inlet valve of the turbocentrifugal air compressor cannot be adjusted manually; its opening degree can only be adjusted automatically in response to changes in load and current. So how can the load of the air compressor be adjusted? Please advise.
