Our project is a five-story office building. Since we need to prepare documents for the project acceptance, there are three fields in the \"Valve Strength and Tightness Test Records\" that I don’t know how to fill in. They are respectively “nominal pressure”, “standard (design) required pressure”, “actual test pressure”, and “standard (design) required pressure”. I didn’t see this mentioned on the design drawings either; moreover, I checked the \"Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Water Supply, Drainage and Heating Projects\" and couldn’t find it there either. “I’m not quite sure what “nominal pressure” means either; is this indicated on valves as well? I didn’t see it on the design drawings either, nor could I find any mention of it in the \"Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Water Supply, Drainage and Heating Projects\". I would appreciate some guidance: What does “nominal pressure” mean? How are these three values determined, especially the first two?
Nominal pressure: It indicates the pressure-bearing capacity of the valve component or pipe itself; in other words, it is the pressure that the valve can withstand at a temperature of 200 degrees, and this value is indicated on the valve. The design requirement pressure is the maximum pressure under which the pipeline operates. The test pressure is the working pressure multiplied by a coefficient greater than 1, usually ranging from 1.2 to 1.5; it represents the pressure that must be achieved as per the requirements of the pressure test.
