In a DC reduction motor, the current passing through the coils on the rotor generates an electromagnetic force. If the current flows incorrectly, smoking can occur. So what other factors can cause smoking in such equipment? 1. The operating ambient temperature is too high (above 40°C), which causes the air entering the DC reduction motor to be very hot and makes heat dissipation difficult; cooling measures must be taken. 2. There is an error in the winding connection; if a star connection is mistakenly used as a delta connection, or vice versa, operating under rated load will cause the DC geared motor to overheat. This issue should be checked and corrected. 3. Breakage in the cage rotor bars or loosening of the winding rotor coil connections causes excessive current in the repair circuit, leading to heating. The copper bar rotor can be welded or replaced, while the cast aluminum rotor must be replaced. 4. If the fan inside the DC reduction motor is damaged, installed incorrectly, or not installed at all, it should be installed properly; the damaged fan should be repaired or replaced. 5. Damage to the bearings or excessive wear can cause the stator and rotor to rub against each other; check whether the bearings are loose and whether the stator and rotor are improperly assembled. During operation, DC reduction motors also need to be protected from water ingress and temperature fluctuations; it is necessary to check whether the coolers are leaking or covered in frost, as well as to ensure that the air supply systems are not blocked, in order to avoid additional problems for the equipment and to maintain its stable operation.
