During lunch, I discussed with a colleague whether birds think about going to certain places to look for food; the colleague denied that they do think. He believed that birds act in that way because their ancestors did so, and therefore they follow that pattern as well
It’s probably better to wander the world and follow one’s instincts :) Of course, genetic factors also play a role, as well as learning through example.
How does the previous generation convey information to the next? Through words? Sounds? Or through brain waves, telepathy? Birds have to think about this process. The land takes on a new look; things have changed, but it remains on the right path. I went back to my hometown and searched for a long time but couldn’t find the location of my elementary school.
Birds do have brains too; can’t they think about their own lives? Back to the topic, things like the knee-jerk reaction in test subjects are instinctive actions that require no thinking; most animals behave in this way. Even if a dog can answer simple addition questions, it is the result of instinctual training
