1. Generation of vacuum in the vacuum cup system. There are two common methods for creating a vacuum: A. Vacuum pumps; B. Vacuum generators. In general, if the number of vacuum cups is not large and the diameter of the glass cups is not very big, it is more economical to use jet-type vacuum generators to generate the vacuum. Because a jet-type vacuum generator requires only ordinary compressed air to generate a vacuum, there is no need to install additional vacuum pipes. If the vacuum gas consumption is high, such as in color cathode ray tube manufacturing companies, it is more appropriate to use vacuum pumps. 2. Selection of vacuum components for vacuum cups: When selecting vacuum components, the method of generating vacuum must be considered first: either jet-type vacuum generators or vacuum pumps along with their piping systems. The method of generating vacuum should be selected based on the diameter and number of vacuum cups. Once the method for generating vacuum is determined, the following essential components are required to create a vacuum cup mechanism: + Vacuum cup + Vacuum switch + Vacuum filter + Vacuum generator, vacuum release valve + Vacuum pressure regulator + Vacuum cylinder. 3. Calculation of the vacuum cup’s lifting force: The formula for calculating the lifting force of a vacuum cup is: W = (P/760) × XS × t × 1.033.
