A friend went to southern Xinjiang to see the poplar forests and happened to take a photo of a slogan that reflected the sentiments of oil workers.
Is this a desert oasis? There’s a lot of water here
During my eleven years in Xinjiang, I never got to see such a scene; it’s a pity.
Lop Nur used to be a large lake, but it later turned into a desert. Now, large areas of wetlands are emerging again in Lop Nur.
I was in Lop Nur around 2012; there was water there. . .
