Why does my daughter start looking for her dad as soon as she wakes up in the morning?

I wake up early every day, just about to head to work, when my daughter wakes up. She wants her dad to hold her, every single day. Is it the same for you guys?
Yes, playing with her is the most fun usually, but it always ends up like this. Especially when the daughter needs to be disciplined, it’s always the mother who takes action; P
The roles reverse after fourth grade! She won’t be sticking to you as much anymore.....
