This post was last edited by jia717 on 2010-12-8 at 12:42. For mixing between solid suspensions and liquids, what type of mixer is suitable? The rotation speed should be around 100 revolutions per minute to ensure uniform heat transfer.
According to Table E.03-2 of HG/T20569-94 \"Mechanical Stirring Equipment\", for solid suspension, the following is recommended: 1. Propeller type； 2. Paddle type ； 3. Turbine type. Recommended for heat transfer: 1. Impeller type ； 2. Push-type ； 3. Turbine type
It should be selected based on the viscosity of the material. For uniform heat transfer, paddle type is used at low speeds, while blade type is used at high speeds. (It can probably be further subdivided; need to study it slowly.)

A paddle mixer can be used. It has a simple structure; in liquid-liquid systems it is used to prevent separation and to ensure uniform temperature within the tank, while in solid-liquid systems it is primarily used to prevent the settlement of solids. It is suitable for a rotation speed range of 1~100 r/min and viscosities below 2 Pa·s; it can also be used with highly viscous fluids.
