In match week 16 of La Liga 2, Espanyol traveled to face Catania. In the first half, Wu Lei had a one-on-one chance but failed to convert it into a goal. In the second half, Eradi scored to help Cartagena break the deadlock; De Tomas and Embalba hit the target in the box. At minute 66, Wu Lei was substituted out, while Melamed came on as a substitute to level the score and win a penalty kick. De Tomas converted the penalty to take the lead, with Puado scoring as a substitute and hitting the target again. In the end, Spain defeated Cartagena 3-1.

To be honest, Wu Lei is a fairly agile forward with good awareness, but his technical skills are quite average; his physical condition isn’t great either – he’s thin and short, and his speed isn’t top-tier. There’s a big gap between him and Son Heung-min; they can’t be compared
