What to do about work anxiety?

I have been working in chemical engineering design for six years now. Previously, my mentor guided me, but now that I am in charge of projects on my own, it’s inevitable that there will be some design mistakes that require adjustments. This is the first time I’ve encountered such a situation, and I’m worried that my mistakes might affect the company’s receipt of the final payment for the design work. Even if it’s just a small mistake that results in a deduction of a few thousand dollars from the final payment, I’m afraid my supervisors will doubt my ability to do my job. Ugh, I can’t eat or sleep properly these days. Am I not suited for this field?

It’s enough to learn from each experience; it’s impossible for anyone to do everything perfectly. As long as you are the most suitable candidate, the manager won’t do anything to you. Don’t place too much emphasis on whether your leader is satisfied or not; improving your own skills will open up many opportunities in the future.
Gain experience through mistakes and keep improving; if no mistakes are made, there would be no need for so many changes.
