In recent years, career planners have become a new profession that is gradually emerging in China. With competition in the job market becoming increasingly fierce, career planning – as a new approach to facilitating the successful development of an individual’s career – has been recognized and adopted by professionals in universities and various sectors of society. The future prospects for the career planning industry are generally seen as promising. But as a newly emerging profession, career planners face difficulties and obstacles in their development that are no less than those in traditional industries. The idea that a new career can lead to a successful professional path is simplistic; practical experience tells us that persistence is key to achieving anything. Under the premise of \"perseverance\", one must use one's mind to seize opportunities and wisdom to navigate life. Xiangyang Career used data analysis tools to conduct a simple comparison between the two positions of \"career planner\" and \"human resources specialist\". I hope this can provide some assistance in helping everyone understand the current development status of \"career planners\" in China. 1. In terms of the organizations that recruit \"career planners,\" at present, these professionals mainly work in management consulting firms, insurance companies, headhunting agencies, and educational training institutions. 2. In terms of the target audience, males (54.6%) slightly outnumber females (45.4%). The population consists mainly of highly educated individuals with a bachelor’s degree or higher, with those aged 20–40 being the key group of interest. 3. Through keyword comparison, we found that from the perspective of user interest, “human resources specialist” is more popular than “career planner”. Through Baidu, the absolute frequency with which netizens search for “human resources specialist” is significantly higher than that for “career planner”. However, since 2010, the gap in popularity between \"career planners\" and \"human resources professionals\" has been gradually narrowing. 4. In terms of geographical distribution, users who are interested in \"career planners\" are mainly concentrated in economically developed coastal areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu. Furthermore, it can be observed that some cities pay more attention to \"career planners\" than to \"human resources specialists\", such as Guangzhou and Qingdao in Shandong Province. In short, the \"novelty\" of the profession of career planner, along with the characteristics of the target audience, means that career planners have to deal with users who possess a relatively high level of intelligence and extensive experience. This implies that those in this profession should have sufficient professional competence as well as certain social experience.
