The 86th edition of Journey to the West has only 25 episodes; I always thought that the journey to the Western Heaven involved 81 difficulties and thus required at least a hundred episodes. It wasn’t until today that I found out the truth! It’s really not like today’s TV dramas; there are dramas about family conflicts arising from marriage, and they have as many as 40 episodes!

It’s mainly a matter of return on investment. Nowadays, when people watch TV, they focus on the famous actors; they hardly pay attention to the plot. In the 1980s, making TV shows was considered an art form, just like \"Dream of the Red Chamber\" – no one dares to remake it these days. The new versions of \"Journey to the West\" use high-tech elements, but they no longer possess the same enthusiasm as the original version. That’s just my personal opinion
There have indeed been remakes of Dream of the Red Chamber, but unfortunately they haven’t received very good reviews
In the past, movies and television were called art; now they are referred to as the entertainment industry – it’s something different
