At the larger scale, there are international and ** standards; at the smaller scale, there are departmental standards, industry standards, and so on. Just measure and apply it in accordance with the provisions set out in the instructions. Legal protection is available in case of any problems. Also, get involved if you think it’s suitable, and stay away if you don’t. It cannot be determined whether something is reliable or not just by looking at the person in question.
