As the title suggests, I would like to ask why a two-hand valve can ensure no leaks at the high-point vent at the end of the fuel gas main in a heating furnace Can a single valve be used? What are the consequences of a single valve? Thank you!
Our heating furnace uses a single valve, and no leaks have been detected; using a double valve would be safer.
Single valves cannot be used; the use of double valves as required is based on safety considerations.
This requirement applies to toxic, flammable, and explosive gases, for safety reasons.
