Some people used some red phosphorus, along with the material found on match heads. It was the era when films like \"The Landmine War\" and \"Tunnel Warfare\" were being shown, and schools were challenging the authority of teachers. Many teachers dare not step in to handle things. That’s when the students started playing pranks. Use a string to coat a layer of red phosphorus, tie a slipknot, then apply match head powder to the paper roll and seal both ends tightly. It is commonly known as “la pao”. Attached to doors, as well as to the legs of desks and chairs; it makes a sound whenever something moves… It’s said that the string shouldn’t be removed until the enemies are gone.
