The Warriors top the list with a high luxury tax bill of $184 million, followed by the Brooklyn Nets, which have their three star players and a luxury tax of $131 million, placing them in second place. The Los Angeles Clippers come in third with a luxury tax of $125 million. Further down the list are the Milwaukee Bucks with $47 million as their luxury tax amount, putting them in fourth place; the Utah Jazz with $36 million in fifth place; the Los Angeles Lakers with $33 million in sixth place; the Phoenix Suns with $11 million in seventh place; and the Boston Celtics also with $11 million, in eighth place. The Warriors pay the highest taxes and play the worst basketball! No wonder they’re called warriors!
