Is there a problem with the oxygen bomb, or is it a problem with the measurement system? If only some small components of the oxygen bomb are damaged, such as the seals or electrode connections inside, they can be replaced by oneself. If larger components of the oxygen bomb are damaged, it is best not to use it anymore. Oxygen bombs should be regularly calibrated to prevent accidents, and generally, the manufacturers of oxygen bombs are capable of carrying out such calibration. If there is a problem with the measurement system, the manufacturer should be called to carry out repairs.
There is a problem with the measurement system; during calibration, the error is very large, and the reading of the thermometer changes rapidly even after it has been left in water for 2 days to stabilize. The model is AN2010; it has been unused for 5 years.
I’m also planning to buy an oxygen bomb calorimeter. I’ve already purchased a WGR-1 model from Changsha Benter; is it still necessary to get a Parr 6300 Calorimeter oxygen bomb calorimeter as well? What’s the difference between the two of them? Thank you
I’ve never used a Parr; these instruments probably work on the same principle. They just become more advanced as technology progresses, so there isn’t much difference between them. If you don’t have many samples to analyze, it might not be necessary to buy one.

The purpose of determining the calorific value is, firstly, to facilitate the combination of wastes with high and low calorific values, and secondly, for billing purposes; the testing period is 0.5 days.
