In 2021, he changed jobs and moved to another city by the sea to work as an engineer at a state-owned enterprise. The company is very reputable and has great potential; it is a leader in its industry and in that region. His salary plus bonuses, after taxes, amounts to 250,000 yuan. He is entitled to social insurance and housing fund benefits, with a housing fund contribution of 4,000 yuan per month from both parties. The price of housing in that city is over 10,000 yuan per unit. He also receives subsidies and benefits worth 170,000 yuan. However, due to the large gap between his current field of work and his educational background, he has yet to find his proper role. Moreover, there are many highly qualified individuals with advanced degrees in the company, which limits his opportunities for advancement. My wife’s job (which isn’t a permanent position) and the issue of my children’s schooling have both been resolved; if I worked at a state-owned enterprise in another place, my wife would definitely stop working and take care of our two children. It seems that a job in the public sector is more stable than one in a state-owned enterprise; it’s nice to spend one’s life in peace in a county town, as it’s close to home and allows one to visit frequently. With your skills, it’s not difficult to find a similar job in another location, but the opportunities offered under the aforementioned talent policies are really limited. There won’t be too much going on in the county town, making it easier to take care of the children. Go out after the child starts middle school

The key is what abilities you have? Both state-owned enterprises and local companies are competing to recruit them. It’s definitely more than 4000; my first job was at a central state-owned enterprise, and my salary was over 20 at that time. The county happens to have a relevant specialty.
For CNPC, those in the sales division earn 3,200 per month, while undergraduates in the production division make 8,000 per month; postgraduates earn a few hundred more.
