There is a pipeline in our section; when the pump stops, the valve element of the check valve located above the outlet valve makes a loud noise, to the point that it causes the entire pipeline to vibrate. At first, it was thought to be a pressure retention issue, so the shutdown time of the automatic pneumatic valve in the water-related equipment was extended by 10 seconds, but this did not work either. Is it because the delivery pipeline at the pump outlet is very long, and when the pump stops operating, the backflow check valve operates intensely, causing vibrations in the pipeline?

The view from upstairs is good and worth considering. I would like to add a few points: the main reason for this phenomenon is the excessive pressure difference at the entrances and exits. Determine whether the process requires high pressure; if the pressure requirements are not high, considering a cutting impeller is an option. The most important thing is to use the correct method of shutting down the pump: close the outlet valve first before shutting down the pump. Modifying the pump and pipelines is quite troublesome; what if the pump is made into a variable-frequency pump?
This is of course feasible. . . .
Changing the frequency pump will make startup a bit more complicated; it would be better to try a different type of check valve – I think that’s the key issue here.
A typical water hammer phenomenon can be addressed by closing the valve slowly rather than delaying it; If nothing else works, modify the outlet pipeline by straightening it, or increase the pipe diameter where necessary and add more buffering
Is there a problem with the pipeline installation?
Is the vaporization point of the material very low? If it is very low, an expansion tube should be added downstream of the valve, and the problem will be solved.
