We can back up our phones to the cloud, but not even airplanes?
Sure, airplanes were designed 30 or 40 years ago; cloud computing has only been around for a few years. Moreover, this communication technology requires high standards – real-time data tracking via satellites worldwide – and the investment involved is too high.
The United States certainly won’t do anything that could affect Boeing’s survival. If the data is sent to the cloud, there will be no way to back out then. :)
I think there shouldn’t be any technical issues; the key is who will have control over the data.
Under extreme conditions, the first issue that arises with an aircraft is a disruption in external communication; how can data transmission to the cloud be carried out in such situations?
If the aircraft’s communication is lost, it’s still possible to get in touch with the control tower, right? When contacting the control tower, could you also back up the black box at the same time?
The network is necessary; it’s possible to have a network on airplanes at present, but it must not affect flight safety. This requires careful consideration – safety comes first; otherwise, it’s better to take a more cautious approach
The Black Cat has a small storage capacity, with a maximum of only 4GB; it is unable to handle network-related tasks and requires a stable network connection. These constraints make it impossible to use it effectively. Additionally, it is not cost-effective either, as it incurs high expenses.
