The company is currently researching the technology for producing aromatics from methanol. We know that the Shanxi Coal Chemical Research Institute and Tsinghua Tongfang possess this technology; we’re not sure what stage of development it’s at at present. Could experts please provide some insights? What is the current status of the MTA test unit for the methanol-to-aromatics project in the second phase of Datang International’s Tolon coal chemical complex?

The technology of the Shanxi Coal Chemical Research Institute has been used in collaborations with Saiding and Yuntianhua; no information was found regarding the operation of the testing equipment at Tsinghua University

To all relevant parties: In recent years, as there has been an increasing focus on safety, environmental protection, and ecological sustainability, China’s economy is faced with new challenges related to green safety, social responsibility, and sustainable development. As one of the most typical products in the petrochemical industry, p-xylene (PX) has attracted significant attention from the entire society due to various public protests that have occurred in different regions. On the one hand, scientific understanding issues such as the process technology of PX, as well as its safety and environmental impact, pose problems for the ordinary residents in petrochemical areas ； On the other hand, as an important raw material in the organic chemical industry, PX is widely used in fields such as textiles and clothing, fine chemicals, and industrial production. Due to the rapid development of these downstream industries, the shortage of PX supply is becoming increasingly severe. Against this backdrop, the Department of Science Popularization of the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Chemical Society, and the China Chemical Information Center have decided to jointly hold the \"China PX Development Forum\" on April 10–11, 2014. This forum will focus on topics such as public awareness regarding PX, planning and layout, technological innovation, safe production, and the social responsibilities of PX-related enterprises, with the aim of spreading scientific knowledge and promoting social responsibility as well as public awareness ； At the same time, it explores the domestic and international development strategies and technological innovation trends in the PX industry, in order to effectively promote its healthy development.
