May I ask, does your factory have a hydrochloric acid dehydration unit? Is it a fiberglass equipment or one made of graphite? What are their advantages and disadvantages? Thank you!
The seals of graphite are prone to leakage; it’s unclear for fiberglass.

After the technical upgrades at our factory, we chose graphite equipment, and after over a year, there has been no leakage.
Ours also uses graphite, and the performance is good; there have been no leaks so far.
This question is too general; if it refers specifically to decanters, heat exchangers, etc., then they are graphite-based equipment; As for other equipment used for dialysis, such as acid tanks, they are made of fiberglass ; Additionally, if a boiling point depressant for deep desorption is required, there are other steel-lined equipment options such as enamel-coated ones. As for the advantages and disadvantages, there’s not much to say – graphite-based devices are corrosion-resistant and have good heat transfer properties ; Fiberglass-reinforced plastic equipment is resistant to corrosion, but not to high temperatures ; Enameled surfaces are both heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant ; The deciding factor for choosing among the three materials is still price.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic is used for tower devices, while graphite is used for heat exchangers.
The latest technology combines conventional and advanced features in one unit (Nantong Jiuxin); only one set of equipment is required. When selecting the material for such equipment, it’s necessary to consider both the initial investment and subsequent costs. In my opinion, graphite is an ideal material for this purpose, as it offers better resistance to temperature, corrosion, and aging compared to fiberglass. However, for acid storage tanks operating at low temperatures, fiberglass can be a better choice due to its lower cost. We were planning to use one set, but we haven’t done so yet; it also uses graphite. It seems that most manufacturers still use graphite-based equipment, and presumably, considering various factors, graphite is the better choice.
As far as I know, the desorption units for hydrochloric acid in several manufacturers are made of graphite. Our factory also deals with graphite, and the first operation was a success.
