Principle of the precessing vortex flowmeter: When fluid flowing axially enters the inlet of the flow sensor, the vortex generator forces the fluid to undergo rotational motion, thereby generating a precessing vortex at its center. This precessing vortex rotates within the Venturi tube; upon reaching the converging section, it is suddenly throttled, causing it to accelerate. When the precessing vortex enters the diverging section, the effect of backflow compels it to perform a secondary precessing rotation. At this time, the rotation frequency of the swirling flow is proportional to the medium flow velocity and is linear. The weak charge signals detected by the two piezoelectric sensors are differentially amplified, filtered, and shaped by a preamplifier to produce two sets of pulse signals whose frequencies are proportional to the flow rate. Meanwhile, the processing circuit compares and discriminates the phases of these two sets of pulse signals to eliminate interference signals, while counting the normal flow signals. The precessing vortex flowmeter features a microprocessor-based design, which allows it to have a relatively wide measurement range. It delivers excellent measurement performance even in various harsh environments, and is also highly durable. Additionally, after use, it has anti-corrosion properties.
