It’s a British-owned company. After the interview, I was told to go for a medical check-up; since then I’ve been waiting, but I don’t know what’s next. It’s been a week now, and I still haven’t received an offer, nor have I been informed that I wasn’t selected. There’s no communication at all, which isn’t typical of foreign companies in terms of efficiency. I’m not sure whether to keep waiting or move on to other interviews. Anyone who’s experienced this situation, please give me some advice
They should give the offer first and then arrange the medical check-up.
Perhaps there are a few other new employees who started around the same time; in order to keep things in sync (starting and receiving training at the same time), offers have not been issued yet. You can ask HR by email or phone. Furthermore, this shouldn’t prevent you from looking for another solution.
Not necessarily; most organizations will notify candidates of the appointment verbally or by email, and will require them to complete a medical examination at a local top-tier hospital before starting work. Go through the formal onboarding procedures with the valid medical examination report.
I think there’s no need to be afraid; just ask HR directly during working hours. What’s there to fear? If the master doesn’t hit one, he’ll hit another; after eating from the master’s side, one will look at the other side.
I’ve asked; it’s under review. I’ll get back to you as soon as I hear the result. Perhaps, as the wise say, they will send out the offers together
This doesn’t prevent you from continuing to look for other jobs.
Are you still looking for a job? Our company is seeking mechanical engineers, process engineers, and thermal energy engineers. The work location is Shanghai; those interested should send a private message.
Thanks for the reminder! I don’t want to leave home to work for now; I’ll get in touch with you if there’s a chance!
