It can measure a variety of fluids, such as slurries containing solids, medium- to high-pressure gases with sufficient density, liquids containing trace amounts of gas, and various high-viscosity liquids, etc. Target mass flow meters belong to the category of vibrating flow meters. When a medium flows through the vibrating tube, the forces acting on various points of the measuring tube are different; consequently, the resulting displacements also vary. This gives rise to an additional twist in the measuring tube. By measuring the phase difference at various points in this distortion process, the mass flow rate of the fluid flowing through the measuring tube can be obtained. The target mass flow meter is insensitive to the velocity profile; therefore, it has virtually no requirements for straight pipe sections upstream and downstream. It can perform multi-parameter measurements, such as simultaneously measuring density and temperature; it can also analyze the concentrations of different components in a mixed medium. It has a small measured vibration amplitude of the pipe, can be regarded as an inactive component; there are no obstructive or moving parts within the measuring pipeline. It boasts a long service life and causes minimal pressure loss in the pipeline. The measurement value is not sensitive to the viscosity of the fluid, and changes in the fluid’s temperature and density have a minimal impact on the measurement value.
