Could someone tell me how Aspen PIMS is performing in Sinopec? Which subsidiaries are using it currently, and is its use mandatory? There are rewards for valid replies; we keep our word.
It seems that various departments still don’t have a very good grasp of this software. It is necessary to bring in service companies specialized in this area for support. It’s not to the point of being mandatory yet. It is widely used in Sinopec’s systems.
Sinopec’s refineries along the coast have adopted PIMS quite effectively; they use it to select crude oil, and this has indeed brought significant benefits! Sinopec’s headquarters attaches great importance to the use of PIMS – many of its leaders are experts in this system. The production planning for each quarter is carried out using PIMS by the headquarters, and regional companies are required to submit PIMS models, so it can be considered almost a mandatory requirement for its use!
Zhenhai Refining & Chemical has a good implementation of PIMS; it’s excellent for scheduling production, and it’s been in use there ever since. I recommend that the original poster go and investigate it!

Does anyone have software for measuring pinch point temperature?
Agree with the idea of fish slipping through the net. I use PIMS for overall plant process planning. Currently, SINOPEC makes use of PIMS for scheduling, and it seems to be used quite effectively.
I hope more friends who use PIMS will come and share their experiences and methods
PIMS is mainly used for planning optimization, bringing many benefits to enterprises, and it is used by many companies.
