We have been using domestic positioners; recently, while servicing a SIEMENS smart positioner, we found air leakage at the connection point leading to the positioner, located after the air pressure reducing valve. Is this the direct cause of this fault? ? ? Since the valve cannot be cut out, it can only be repaired online. It is manifested as: DCS set to manual mode, output at 65%, with the feedback fluctuating between 63% and 67%. The pressure indicated by the manometer on the pressure relief valve oscillates, vibrating intermittently at 3.5 bar. Even the domestic positioners I use have air leakage issues; it shouldn’t be this bad.
Isn’t there a duplicate line for the installation of control valves? It can be switched to manual control on the double-track system for maintenance
There is air leakage at the connection point of the positioner behind the air supply pressure regulator, and this is likely the main cause of the oscillations. Intelligent positioners have very strict requirements regarding the air supply Domestic mechanical positioners are relatively inferior! :)
Try lowering the sensitivity in the configuration menu; it’s likely a fault in the amplifier’s gas circuit, which probably needs to be cleaned.
The control valve does not have a double line; it is the inlet guide vane of the compressor. Excuse me, on the fourth floor, how do I adjust the sensitivity?
My opinion is the same as that on floor 4; the method for adjusting sensitivity is listed in the instructions!
Is it being debugged online? It really can’t be repaired in that way. Is there any danger in debugging online? 1. Is the sensitivity a bit too high, meaning the dead zone is too small? It should be increased. 2. It’s probably not a problem with air leakage at the connection points; to check this, increase the air supply and see if oscillation still occurs. 3. Don’t move it online; the guide vanes have a significant impact, and any movement will cause the air compressor to stop. Other systems will also be affected. Wait until maintenance can be carried out.
