Can the catalyst be added from the lower head? Extraction is too slow
We encounter the same problem: if we don’t pump it out and instead release it from the lower head, it not only pollutes the environment but also causes serious harm to human health. Moreover, if this is done to the catalyst in the first set of converters before it’s installed in the second set, it will inevitably affect the conversion rate. It would be worthwhile to invest a little more money in installing additional pipelines along with tee valves to switch between the first and second sets; this way, protective measures can be put in place when the second set reaches the end of its useful life, allowing for direct discharge. This is how we handle it at present

The current standard practice is to use either the first or the second set of converters interchangeably, which reduces the number of extraction processes. However, this approach can lead to an excessive duration of catalyst use, resulting in clogging over time. In practice, it may be helpful to take some time when making the switch to stop the converter that needs to be replaced, open its upper cover, and loosen the catalyst in each outlet; this might yield better results.

Of course it can be done, but while it buys time, it also damages the environment and endangers the health of the employees. It depends on what the managers decide to do. Here, one reactor has over 1,500 tubes, and it’s possible to complete the process within 24 hours. I’m not sure how slow you consider it to be; in my opinion, if more bonuses are given and the workers are arranged to work in shifts, things should progress quickly. The catalyst becomes unusable, the converter leaks, and the catalyst can clump together. It is best to remove the catalyst for replacement; this prevents environmental contamination, reduces the workload, and minimizes harm to human health.
Opinion: It’s best to use a vacuum system for extraction; we can finish pumping 2,500 tubes in 16 hours. The key lies in whether your vacuum system is well-operated (that’s crucial – don’t underestimate it; even though they’re all vacuum systems, the performance can vary greatly). We can pump 4 tubes at once.
