Must quality assurance engineers at pressure vessel manufacturing units hold a quality assurance engineer certificate?
The chief quality engineer must pass an exam to obtain a certificate; others, except for the welding responsibility engineer and the non-destructive testing responsibility engineer, do not need one.
I haven’t heard that a certificate is required, but when your company issues the relevant documents, it should be clear that you have been appointed.
The chief quality assurance officer must receive training; specific requirements are outlined in the regulations regarding manufacturing certification
A quality assurance engineer must be trained and hold a quality assurance engineer certificate, and should have a professional title at the intermediate engineer level or above!
The chief quality engineer must pass an exam to obtain a certificate. Others, including the welding responsibility engineer and the non-destructive testing responsibility engineer, should also have certificates, and these can be provided through training by chemical equipment associations.
**The General Administration for Quality Supervision does not require proof to be obtained, but the Chemical Equipment Association does.
According to the Code of Practice, quality assurance officers must undergo training, pass assessments, and hold certificates to be employed, but Document No. 194 does not stipulate this.
Training is indeed necessary; in our company, sending documents is sufficient, but still, people have to go for training for a long time!

I graduated from a program in chemical engineering machinery and have long worked in manufacturing plants as a designer, manufacturer, and quality assurance engineer for pressure vessels. After studying the relevant regulations regarding pressure vessel manufacturing, I found that regulations such as the “Regulations on the Safety Supervision of Special Equipment,” the “Measures for the Supervision and Management of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Manufacturing,” the “Requirements for Licenses to Manufacture Boilers and Pressure Vessels,” the “Procedures for Issuing Licenses to Manufacture Boilers and Pressure Vessels,” “TSG Z0004-2007 Requirements for Quality Assurance Systems in the Manufacturing, Installation, Modification, and Maintenance of Special Equipment,” “TSG Z0005-2007 Detailed Rules for the Evaluation of Licenses for Manufacturing, Installing, Modifying, and Maintaining Special Equipment,” and the “Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Fixed Pressure Vessels” do not contain any requirements stating that quality assurance engineers or persons responsible for quality assurance systems within such manufacturing processes must undergo relevant training and hold appropriate certificates to be able to carry out their duties. 2. The “Chemical Equipment Association” has no legal basis for organizing certification exams for quality assurance engineers and those responsible for quality management systems on its own; it is purely an action taken by that organization’s individuals, based on their own opinions. Moreover, taking their training courses and exams simply means answering questions from textbooks – is that really meaningful? Is it meaningful? Will it achieve the purpose of training? 3. I am familiar with the quality assurance systems for pressure vessels, and in particular I have extensive experience in obtaining the necessary certifications for pressure vessel manufacturing. I have obtained the D1D2 A1A2 (3) ASME certifications on five occasions; I haven’t seen any requirement for a quality assurance engineer certificate. The certifications issued by the Chemical Equipment Association have no authority at all
