BWF’s latest rankings: China leads in two doubles events; three players in the top 10 in women’s singles

According to the latest rankings released by BWF, China leads in two doubles events, with three players making it into the top 10 in the women’s singles category. As of December 20th, Beijing time, the World Badminton Federation published the rankings for the latest week; the Chinese team still holds the top positions in two events: Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan in women’s doubles, and Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong in mixed doubles. 　　In the women's doubles event, Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan are the only pair to score over 100,000 points, ranking first with 105,816 points. Matsuyama Nami and Shida Chiyo of Japan follow closely behind, with 98,143 points. Another Chinese pair, Zhang Shuxian/Zheng Yuming, rose one place in the rankings, finishing in 6th place with 73,258 points. 　　In the mixed doubles event, Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong topped the list with 109,600 points, followed by the Thai pair Puavanukoro/Tharatanachara with 103,950 points. Japan’s Watanabe Yuuta/Higashino Yusa came in third with 96,470 points. Wang Yilu/Huang Dongping finished in 4th place with 82,120 points.
