Roughly speaking, I think it’s possible to separate them into layers, and then use distillation to separate dimethylacetamide from methanol based on their different boiling points. For more precise separation, distillation can be used directly
These three compounds are completely miscible with each other. Originally, methyl acetate and methanol form a binary azeotrope. The presence of dimethylacetamide prevents the formation of an azeotrope. Therefore, methyl acetate is first obtained at the top of the tower through atmospheric distillation, and then methanol is obtained through vacuum distillation, thereby separating the three substances.
I’m not sure if what was said upstairs is based on any facts. Why, when I use Pro/II to simulate these three components, I still can’t manage to have methyl acetate evaporated first through distillation; all three components are always present.
