In the past, when working on industrial gas pipelines, the vent pipes used for purging were led at least 2 meters above buildings or operation platforms, and sampling pipes were also installed. We are currently working on natural gas pipelines, and I’m not sure what the requirements are. It seems that ignition is needed for purging and venting; is it also necessary to use a sampling tube?

The diameter of the natural gas vent pipe is generally 1/2 to 1/3 of that of the main pipeline. The height can be determined with reference to the \"Design Code for Natural Gas Projects\"
