Does anyone have any information on turbine control oil?
Under normal circumstances, the lubricating oil and control oil used in turbines are the same
I wonder if your unit is of the back-pressure type? Condensation type? Or is it a condensation extraction type? The specific control systems have certain differences in their schematic diagrams. All of the turbines we operate are back-pressure type; some of them have exhaust systems, and they are all industrially driven. The factory also has turbines used for power generation, but I haven’t seen them
The pressure of the control oil is generally higher than that of the lubricating oil. Both originate from the lubricating oil pump; the control oil is formed by regulating its pressure, while the lubricating oil is produced by reducing the pressure of the control oil.
Power plant steam turbines usually have a separate high-pressure EH oil system, with a pressure much higher than that of the lubricating oil; you might want to learn more about the DEH control system
