After obtaining the assistant engineer certificate, when can one apply for the intermediate engineer title?

After 4 years as an assistant, one can apply to become an engineer

We can apply for the title of intermediate engineer after 5 years as assistant engineers. I’m not sure whether the 4-year period mentioned above can be applied for; you can ask the human resources department of your organization.

Go and ask the HR department at your workplace directly; there are some differences from place to place. In our company, it takes 5 years after obtaining a bachelor’s degree to be eligible for the engineer title, while 2 years is required for those with a master’s degree.

Application for the qualification of intermediate engineer: 1. A bachelor’s degree with over 5 years of work experience, employed as a professional technical staff member； Have graduated from a junior college 7 years or more ago and have been employed as a professional technical personnel ； 3. Graduates from a graduate program or holders of a second bachelor’s degree, who have been employed as assistant engineers for more than 3 years. Those with a master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in professional technical work, or those with a doctor’s degree who pass the relevant assessment, can be recognized as eligible for the engineer title. According to the first rule, one generally obtains the title of assistant engineer one year after graduating from undergraduate school, and after another 4 years they can apply for the title of intermediate engineer

However, if you are exceptionally talented, exceptions may be made. You can also take certain certification exams to obtain an intermediate professional title directly.

One year after graduating from undergraduate studies, eligibility for financial assistance is automatically granted; three years after receiving this assistance, one can apply for an intermediate professional title. Five years after obtaining that title, one can apply for a senior professional title. If there is no postgraduate degree, then, unless there are outstanding contributions, that’s the highest rank one can reach.
