The solubility of disulfides in gasoline is definitely higher than in alkaline solutions; otherwise, how could the alkali-free dewaxing process work? (I’m not sure if this is correct.) We use the alkali-free dewaxing method for gasoline refining here, so the disulfides are not recovered!

Dithiides are highly soluble in gasoline, as the dithiides present in the alkaline solution used for desulfurization of liquefied gas in our system are removed by absorption using gasoline after the regeneration of this solution
