There is an existing double-flange level transmitter model 3051: the positive pressure chamber does not have a capillary, while the negative pressure chamber does have one. The positive pressure chamber is connected directly to the flange of the equipment, with a distance of 150 mm between it and the bottom of the equipment tank; the distance between the two flanges is 550 mm. Does this transmitter need to be relocated?
You did not specify the range of liquid levels being measured. Assuming that the lowest liquid level is at the flange of the positive pressure chamber, and the highest liquid level is at the upper flange of the negative pressure chamber, then this transmitter needs to be adjusted for negative migration; the amount of migration required is equal to 550 multiplied by the density of the liquid filled into the transmitter. It is definitely necessary; the amount of migration depends on the density of the filling medium in the capillary as well as the density of the medium in the container being tested. If you can provide these values, I can help calculate it for you as well
