Also, can acrylonitrile be stored in spherical tanks?
The filling coefficient is the same as that of other toxic, flammable, and explosive substances; ordinary storage tanks are sufficient, and spherical tanks are not required
The original poster may have a misunderstanding, thinking that toxic and harmful materials need to be stored in spherical tanks. Acrylonitrile can be stored in a dome tank. The filling coefficient is generally determined based on factors such as the size of the storage tank; it is usually set at 0.85 for tanks with a capacity of less than 1,000 cubic meters, and at 0.9 for those with a larger capacity.
It’s not that I misunderstood... it’s because in the questions given by the teacher at the beginning of our course design, the substance in question was liquefied petroleum gas. Five days later, it was suddenly changed to acrylonitrile:Q. At that point, the length of my report dropped to 30,000 words. There’s no problem with storing it, as long as you remember to give it some space! But when it comes to actual projects, its preliminary design review fails, what a waste!
The cost is too high; will your proposal be accepted? This should also be an aspect that you designers need to take into consideration
