I. Operation Analysis Operation analysis is an important measure for operation supervisors to understand the performance of equipment and its weak points, as well as to grasp the patterns behind accidents, thereby ensuring safe production, enhancing safety awareness, and improving technical skills related to operational tasks. Through operational analysis, it is possible to understand the causes and consequences of abnormalities, anticipate potential accidents, prevent such incidents from occurring, and also facilitate the maintenance team in addressing abnormal defects. 1. Operational analysis methods: (1) Abnormal signal analysis – Equipment abnormalities are analyzed and determined based on alarm sounds or incident-related sounds, changes in light intensity (on/off), changes in traffic light signals, flashing lights, illuminated signs, as well as the disappearance of signals. (2) Fault symptom analysis ①Analyze abnormal noises, odors, color changes, vibrations, temperature variations, gas pressure changes, current and voltage fluctuations that occur in the equipment, as well as the damage to the equipment caused by faults ; ②After regular tests, major operations, and changes in operating modes, analyze the proper operation of the equipment and its performance ; ③Analysis, comparison, and judgment are carried out based on the information printed by microcomputer protection devices and fault recorders during a fault occurrence. (3) Comparative analysis ① Comparative analysis with the parameters specified in the regulations and equipment nameplates ; ②Comparative analysis of data differences with devices of the same type ; ③Inference and analysis of variation patterns by comparing with historical data ; ④An analysis is conducted on the differences in comparison relationships and the abrupt changes among multiple meter parameter indicators. (4) Inspection, judgment, and analysis: Conduct a comprehensive analysis based on the findings from on-site investigations, as well as the data obtained from commonly used tools and instruments. Proceed step by step, delving deeper to identify the essence and root causes of the changes, determine the actual reasons for the faults, so as to formulate specific and feasible preventive measures for rectification or technical improvements. 2. Operation analysis steps: (1) Record and analyze equipment abnormalities. An operation analysis logbook is kept in the duty control room, where the staff record and conduct a comprehensive analysis of the equipment’s operating status, operation mode, existing defects, and any unsafe conditions. The specific steps are as follows: ① Describe the phenomenon: Provide a concise description of the abnormal occurrences at the scene, ensuring that both the key points are highlighted and no details are overlooked. ②Inspection and assessment: Conduct on-site investigations and use necessary instruments and equipment (multimeters, voltage testers, insulation resistance meters, thermometers, etc.) for measurements and inspections. Refer to relevant technical documents, drawings, equipment manuals, and other materials to analyze the possible causes of abnormal phenomena and identify the preliminary causes. ③Cause analysis: Investigate the on-site conditions, such as climate, environment, operation mode, personnel, and equipment (including primary and secondary systems), as well as whether there was any power outage or restoration, and any maintenance work carried out at that time, in order to analyze as comprehensively as possible the possible reasons for the abnormal phenomenon. ④Determine the cause: Conduct further comprehensive evaluation of the preliminary causes identified through inspection and analysis to ultimately determine the reason for the abnormal phenomenon. ⑤Analyze the causes of abnormalities: Conduct an analysis based on unsafe human behaviors, unsafe conditions of objects, and unsafe environmental factors, with a focus on identifying the causes through human subjective factors. When analyzing, it is necessary to consider whether people have violated regulations, whether equipment is maintained in a timely manner, whether the quality of repairs and maintenance is good, and whether strict inspections are carried out on newly acquired equipment ; Factors such as whether the environmental conditions meet the requirements for safe production are analyzed in depth, taking into account the results of on-site investigations. ⑥Preventive measures: Based on the causes of such abnormalities, practical preventive measures should be established to prevent similar safety issues from occurring. (2) Report the causes of equipment abnormalities and the corrective actions taken. Report the conclusions of the above analysis to the shift leader and supervisor in a timely manner. If it is within the scope of what the operators can handle, it should be adjusted and dealt with promptly to ensure that the equipment and systems remain in normal operation ; If the issue cannot be handled by the personnel on duty, it shall be reported to the relevant higher-level departments depending on the importance of the equipment and system, so that those departments can take action promptly and enhance monitoring. (3) Evaluate the results of the abnormality cause analysis: Professional technicians review the analysis records and provide a professional assessment. At the same time, the analysis records should be shared with on-site personnel and those in other positions for learning, so as to improve together. (2) Report the causes of equipment abnormalities and the corrective actions taken. Report the conclusions of the above analysis to the shift leader and supervisor in a timely manner. Therefore, it is essential to focus on improving the technical capabilities of personnel assigned to these tasks, as well as to strengthen their training in professional knowledge and skills, particularly on-site technical training. (2) In operational analysis, attention should be paid to the analysis of human factors; one cannot focus solely on the issues at hand without considering the people involved. It is necessary to start by addressing human-related problems, carry out proper fault prevention measures, and resolve various issues.
