I saw on the flow chart of the same device that some safety valves are placed on the circulating water pipeline of the heat exchanger, some are placed in the inlet pipeline, and some are placed in the outlet pipeline. The pressure relief of the safety valve here is the thermal expansion of the water after closing the circulating water inlet and outlet valves. As long as there are no valves between the safety valve and the heat exchanger, it will be fine.
Theoretically, it is most suitable for the safety valve to be placed on the circulating water return pipeline, which may prevent the temperature of the return water pipeline from rising too much and causing a pressure increase.
The safety valve is usually placed on the water outlet pipe, but it can also be placed on the water inlet pipe. Usually there is no valve in front of the safety valve. If the process requires a valve, it must be normally open.
