Steps to create a quick startup disk

1. Verify that the LCN and UCN cables are functioning properly.2. Manually save the Checkpoints of all UCN nodes twice.
3. Manually save the Checkpoints of ELCG nodes twice.
4. Manually save the Checkpoints of APP/AM nodes twice.
5. Manually save the Checkpoints of CG/PLNM nodes twice.
6. Prepare a ZIP drive/simulation drive.
7. Format the ZIP drive or simulation drive using CR $Fmm>BKUP –MF 32000 –BS 17008; manually copy all Checkpoint files to the ZIP/simulation drive, such as &I01 (UCN/HG CKPT) and &Fmm (AM CKPT). Pay special attention to the Checkpoint files of certain nodes (CG/PLNM/ELCG).
9. Manually copy all node attribute files to the ZIP/simulation drive, including &NMO, &AMO, &UCN, &NGO, &HGO.
10. Check the configuration of the regional database, and record the paths to all PE flowcharts and reports in free format. If necessary, add the paths to the simulation drive to the regional database path definitions; change the region after modifying the regional database.
11. Manually copy files related to the regional database to the ZIP/simulation drive, such as &D01 and &Dmm (where mm is the regional database number).
12. Manually copy other system files to the ZIP/simulation drive, including &OVG, &DSY, &ASY, &CUS, &LDR, &OP1, &Enn. Also, manually copy PE flowcharts and reports in free format to the ZIP/simulation drive.
13. Check whether &LDR exists; use WB $Fnn>&LDR to write the startup attributes to the simulation drive.
14. If possible, use a GUS unit to test the usability of this quick-start drive
