We need a straight-chain fatty ester methyl ester with a carbon chain length of around 8; which one would be suitable? What is the typical number of carbon atoms in methyl laurate? How is it distributed? Is the carbon number distribution of methyl laurate from different manufacturers roughly the same? Thank you!
