What is the reference temperature used by domestic valve manufacturers when producing valves these days? Some books state that the nominal pressure used by valve manufacturers is typically based on a temperature of 200°C; I’m not sure if this is correct
China, which produces products in accordance with PN standards, uses a \"nominal pressure\" system based on the allowable operating pressure at 100°C. The production is organized using API standards in the U.S. \"Temperature and Pressure System.\" Under this system, except for the 150LB grade which uses 260℃ as the reference, all other grades use 454℃ as the reference. Currently, domestic valve manufacturers produce a wide range of products, including those that meet national standards (based on the JB standards) as well as those that meet American standards (based on the API standards). JB valves are based on a temperature of 200°, while API valves are designed for high temperatures: with 150LB valves using 260°C as the reference temperature, all other grades use 454°C as the reference.
