May I ask what a fully regenerated catalytic cracker is, and what a two-stage regenerated catalytic cracker is? What impact do these two types have on conversion rate and liquid yield?
A catalytic cracker in a fully regenerated form refers to one in which there is almost no CO in the regeneration flue gas, that is, peroxide regeneration. A two-section regenerative catalytic cracker refers to a regenerator that is divided into two parts, usually referring to coking drum regeneration, which is categorized into pre-coking drum and post-coking drum types. Both regeneration forms refer to the regeneration form itself, and are unrelated to the conversion rate and liquid yield.
Does that mean that both the coaxial and parallel arrangements of these two devices are fully regenerative? Is this type of full regeneration considered an advanced approach at present?
