It now involves the storage and transportation design of a wax oil tank area, which requires purging. I have been working in design for a short time and am encountering purge issues for the first time, so I am seeking advice from those with experience regarding this problem. 1. Does the paraffin oil tank need to be purged? 2. Are there any special differences between tank purging and pipeline purging? 3. How should the purge pipeline be configured? 4. Under what circumstances is purging required?
1. It is best to equip any storage tank with a purging device. 2. Tank purging requires a large volume of air, and an exhaust valve must be provided at the bottom of the tank. The gas volume required for pipeline purging is low; it is sufficient to disconnect the flange anywhere to evacuate the gas. 3. The purge lines are generally borrowed from the process pipelines; however, for such pipelines it is necessary to design a pipe that leads in the purge medium at the starting point of the pipeline. Generally, storage tanks do not require a separate purging pipeline. 4. 1. Piping and equipment need to be purged when they are started up or shut down. Second, purging is required when an accident occurs in the pipeline equipment. Third, purging is required when displacing combustible gases. Fourth, purging is required during equipment maintenance.
